This tournament is held in cooperation with the Saudi Football Federation, and matches are played in the knockout system, and includes clubs in the Kingdom from different regions, and this tournament aims to discover and develop players in order to represent the banner of the Saudi electronic team in international forums.
In order to develop the e-sports sector among students, this tournament is held in cooperation with the Saudi Federation of University Sports, and its competitions are fought by default with the participation of all universities from different regions of the Kingdom, while the finals are played in one of the universities.
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: The Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) announces the launch of Voices of Saudi Esports (VSE), one of the federation’s recent initiatives that aims to enable Saudi content creators to produce high-quality gaming and esports content on a regular basis to enrich the esports landscape.
The online application for Voices of Saudi Esports will be open on December 30, 2021, on the Saudi Esports Federation’s official website. Prospective talents will need to submit their applications before the closing date, which is set to be on January 27, 2022.
The Saudi Esports Federation will provide financial and non-financial support to the program talents. As part of the program, content creators have access to a variety of rich tools and software, including audiovisual library access, SEF news, events, footage, and training courses on content creation and digital marketing, as well as monthly allowances that they can use to enhance the quality of their content and optimize their social media metrics. Participants will also compete for end-of-cycle awards and financial rewards.
A number of gaming centers and studios throughout the kingdom have partnered with the Saudi Esports Federation as part of the program to help provide the right resources to program talents and be part of developing and nurturing content creators in the region.
"This program marks a turning point for the Saudi content creator community as well as the gaming and esports industry as a whole. It signals the beginning of an era in our local content through which we hope to make Saudi content creators among the best in the world,” Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan, President of Saudi Esports Federation.
Voices of Saudi Esports is an extension of the federation's efforts to cultivate different talents within Saudi Arabia, where content creators have contributed to the rise of the ever-growing esports scene.
Riyadh, December 29, 2021: The Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) has launched the second edition of the Saudi Esports Federation Awards (SEF Awards), an annual event that is designed to recognize the achievements of the gaming and esports creators and to encourage the most talented minds in the industry.
The SEF Awards is an awards ceremony that is evaluated by a panel of judges and voted on by the public. From the player of the year to the most inspiring stories in gaming and esports, there are 14 categories that recognize and promote the different creative minds driving the growth of the sector in Saudi Arabia. This year's edition of the SEF Awards took place in Riyadh Media City, home of the Saudi eLeagues, on Tuesday, December 28th, 2021.
A total of 16 winners among individuals and organizations across various categories were announced last night, in which Mossad Aldossary was named Esports Male Player of the Year and Najd Fahad was named Esports Female Player of the Year. Additionally, Bander Madkhali, more commonly known on the internet as BanderitaX, was named Esports Content Creator of the Year, and Ahmad Alqahtani, also known online as ShongxBong, won Esports Streamer of the Year.
The Rico PUBGM player Mohammed AlJuaithen was named Esports Mobile Player of the Year, and the Rico PUBGM team was named Esports Team of the Year. In the Inspiration Award category, three nominees were deemed winners. Saud Alwahhabi, founder of NAFS, the first social network dedicated to esports and gaming in the MENA, Ibrahim Altamimi, founder of POWER eSports, and Faisal Almutairi, founder of Rico PUBGM.
According to Turki Alfawzan, CEO of Saudi Esports Federation, "The SEF Awards is our special way at the federation of promoting a competitive esports environment among various esports categories, foster the esports movement, and provide value to the local and global esports ecosystem".
The event provided the federation with an opportunity to announce its recent initiative, Voices of Saudi Esports, which enables Saudi content creators to produce high-quality gaming and esports content on a regular basis, enriching the esports landscape.
These initiatives and programs form a comprehensive list of efforts by the Federation to flourish the Saudi esports industry, develop Saudi talents, and create a whole new esports scene in Saudi Arabia, transforming the kingdom into a leading global destination for esports.
Riyadh, December 2nd, 2021: By unanimous decision of the Executive Committee, Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud, President of the Saudi Esports Federation, has been appointed as Vice President of the Global Esports Federation effective December 1st 2021. His Royal Highness’s appointment comes as a result of his efforts and commitment to growing the esports industry both regionally and globally.
Commenting on his appointment, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal said, "On this occasion, I would like to thank the Executive Committee for the trust they have put in me as Vice President of the Global Esports Federation and I am committed to exceeding all expectations set by the global esports community."
He continues, "I believe that this will enable us all to broaden our horizons and to go above and beyond to serve the global world of esports. To me, nurturing the industry has been and will always be a mission, and serving the community is a passion. This only makes me more compelled to do so with great partners and colleagues."
HRH Prince Faisal has boasted an impressive track record over the years with his leadership of both the Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) and the Arab Esports Federation (AEF). His vision is to create an impact that generates a ripple effect, evolving sectors and services that were traditionally thought to be unrelated to esports. He moved the SEF from its original model of one-time large events to a sustainable and long-lasting model of creating IPs that will grow with time and provide a stable career path in the many disciplines that surround professional competitive gaming.
